Dear Parents

PAYMENT OF SCHOOL FEES – ALL PARENTS

Parents should be aware of the fact that they need to pay school fees for their children who are at schools, according to the South African Schools Act. Our school is not exempt from that.

Some time ago, we changed to a new system of payment, whereby parents were expected to pay school fees at the bank for security reasons.

We have been receiving some payments from parents which are not identifiable”. This means that an amount of say R 300 is paid into the school account, without any way of identifying for which child or into which parents’ account this money must be paid. We then have to wait until it is queried before we can rectify the matter. We would thus like to request that all parents must please specify the following with payments, in the section on the deposit slip which deals with it as a reference:

  1. Name and surname of the child;
  2. The class and grade of the child – eg. Grade 4 RN – (Mr Nkosi’s class);
  3. We would also like to request parents to please send a copy of the deposit slip to school for us to follow up.

We would also like all parents to please check the next statement they receive from the school and verify that all payments made by them, are reflected on the statement. If not, please let us have a copy of the deposit slip so that we can bring our records up to date.

This letter also serves as a reminder to all parents to please ensure that their school fees are brought up to date.

Yours faithfully
